Attorney Wendy A. Owens represents clients in real estate matters, wills, and estate law. Thanks to her years of successful practice, Ms. Owens can efficiently and effectively protect your legal interests.

A native of Norfolk, Virginia, Ms. Owens attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree with high honors in Political Science and English. During this time, she was recognized for exemplary scholastic achievements and named to the President’s list, and spent a semester abroad in London. She was also active with the Wildlife Center of Virginia and the Virginia Beach SPCA. Ms. Owens was a member of numerous academic organizations, including: Golden Key National Honor Society, Delta Kappa Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society, and Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society.

Ms. Owens received her juris doctor from Tulane Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. While in law school, she volunteered with the local chapter of CASA and the Family Legal Advice Clinic and served as a staff clerk for the New Orleans District Attorney’s Office.

Ms. Owens worked as a real estate lawyer at the law firms of Hunter, Maclean, Exley & Dunn as well as Morris, Schneider, & Prior. During her time at Morris, Schneider, & Prior, Ms. Owens was instrumental in developing and managing the mobile home title clearance team, which handled clearing mobile home titles throughout the Southeast.

Because of her expertise, Ms. Owens was asked to serve as a lead instructor/host on Manufactured Homes/Land Contracts/Easements for AMC Mortgage Services at the Fidelity Default Solutions Title Symposium. She was on the panel for Mobile Assets: Hidden Liabilities at the REO 5-Star Conference and a guest lecturer for the 2006 Lorman CLE series.

Ms. Owens is a member of the Real Property Division for both the Georgia and North Carolina State Bars. She is also an active member of the Savannah Chapter of GAWL.

In her free time, Ms. Owens serves on the boards of the Coastal Pet Rescue and the Savannah Chapter of CASA, and is one of the cofounders of GreenSavannah.org.
